FUNERAL LITURGIES
The community of St. Ann by the Sea and Our Lady of the Assumption parishes shares in your grief as you suffer the loss of a loved one. The prayers and support of the parishes are with you at this difficult time.
The Church’s prayer in the Rite of Christian Burial focuses our attention on the mystery of the suffering, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the promise that we, too, and your loved one, are called to share in that gift of new and everlasting life. It is a time in which the Lord gives us comfort, healing, and peace.

Funeral Lectionary
If choosing only one reading, select from either the Old or New Testament. If choosing 2 readings, select one from the Old Testament and one from the New Testament. During the Easter Season (7 weeks following Easter), please select a reading from the Easter Funeral Liturgy in place of an Old Testament Funeral Liturgy.
